i have iOCBC, iPHILIP, iDBS , iL&T. Actually, the differences are very small. In the end i use iL&T because of rebates for selling. For buying i use DBS CASH UP FRONT, again because iDBS gives better saving on brokerages compare to iL&T. But no harm having all the brokerages and find one to your preference in terms of ease of usage, etc... Besides saving on brokerages, my preference is iL&T but i also use iDBS for some other prefences like a lot more data on individual stocks. In fact, i use both of them at the same time, when i trade. Happy trading.

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

Just like to add that on to what Temperment has summaried nicely: Buy - Use DBSV Cash Upfront. Sell - Use one you're are comfortable with. (L&T, DMG and UOB-KH all use the same UI but with some customerisation)

You really need to add on POEMS to your list of brokerage for its Unit Market trading.

Only if the shares is listed in broad lot of 1,000 shares.

Also be careful about SIA and Singtel which has multiple listing. I once tried to buy 200 shares of SIA using POEM Unit Share but it was transacted as a broad lot of SIA 200 shares. Big Grin

Ha! Ha! Thanks for another reminder. Yes, must remember not all stocks traded in the same board lot of 1000. Some counters even have different or multiple board lots. It is very easy to forget because we trade in odd lots once in a blue moon.

No. Actually it is very easy to remember. All shares with no numbers behind them are traded in broad lot of 1,000 shares. Shares with a number behind them are traded in broad lot of that number. So SBSTransit 500 are traded in lot of 500 shares and DairyFarm 900 US$ are traded in lot of 900 shares (and this one is traded in US$).

QED. But I still dun know why people get confused. Wink
