Hi all, please read the following before posting.

This is to ensure that Buddies on the forum know the boundaries of what should or should not be posted for their own protection against potentially libelous claims. As a free to join forum, it is not in our best interest to defend any claims hence it would be wise to avoid them.

Our guidelines that follow are by no means legal advice and should not be taken as such; they are meant to be followed so that the forum may remain a conducive environment for the sharing of opinions, thoughts and information regarding Investing.

Guidelines on Posting
- No personal attacks, name-calling or baseless accusations with regards to one's character.
- Opinions can be made but must be based on facts and must be fair to reasonable man.

Sure, I'm trying to figure out how to stick it at the last position of Recent Topics.

I think the first position is good though. Should suffice in anycase. At least we tried.

Today I stumbled upon a good thread in NextInsight.net and I'd like to share with forummers.
QUOTE:
Hi, whether you post on Facebook, Twitter or any forum, be careful that you do not get yourself into hot soup later.
Don't post, for example:

1. CEO ABC is a crook who has been siphoning off the company's $.

2. The company's cash is non-existent, it's a fraud.

Clearly, these are defamatory. If there is a legal demand for the particulars of the poster, any website owner will be obliged to hand over the particulars.

We are comfortable with 99.9% of the posts we have sighted on this forum so far and have not moderated them at all. So please, collectively we should uphold the insightful / balanced / interesting sharing of views -- and avert the possibility of a legal letter being shot from an aggrieved listed company.

Thank you!

I'd also like to add other examples :
3. Management XYZ is in cahoots with ABCD to do unscrupulous things.
4. Director EFGH wants to 'run road' with the money.

Your admin has deleted several of this kind of posts.
Please speak based on facts. We are a value-based investment forum. Thanks.

For article sharing, re-posting, quotation :
Please just quote a few paragrahs for discussions only and do link back to the article or website. Do not quote whole article, except it is yours or you are authorized to re-post or article that is freely share-able.

The rationale behind the guideline, is the respect to IP right of its owner, while allowing us to discuss with ease, by referencing to its key points.
Thanks.
