i think steven was sharing about a way to borrow from Spore National Library through the e-method, rather than making a physical trip down the library. I reckon he thinks it is convenient and informative to share this way in this thread.

Try reading : The systematic Trader by Collin Seow with Chin Yong Sak.

You may be able to find a copy in Bishan Public LIbrary and spend your saturday afternoon there.

Thanks for your comments. At VB.com, we are quite strict about discussions on trading/technical analysis.

But i think we can tolerate recommendation of trading books here. This is because i believe even as value investors, there are alot of things that can be learnt from trading books. For example, it was through reading trading books that i first learnt about principles like position sizing/cut loss etc. Excluding the candle sticks stuff, there are many parallel principles between fundamental and technical investing.

I think you might like Alexander Elder.
His books will generate interest and motivate you to try out trading for a living.
Although I had read his book many times and many years ago,
I still love it very much.

Try out in NLB.
If you're tech savvy, E-books available too as Alexander Elder is very famous.

I found :

Value investing ( to identify which shares to buy ) + "buy and hold" does not work.

Value investing ( to identify which shares to buy ) + trading Knowledge ( when to buy and exit ) works .
