This will mean that out of the 2.5% set aside for remediation (S$12.9m), only S$1.6m will be utilized for Final remediation, leaving S$11.3m to be distributed back to shareholders? This will be approx S$0.0393 per share + S$1.056 = S$1.0953.

Market reprices fast....

Saizen announced that 1.056 per share will be distributed on Mar 30, 2016. Book closure on Mar 15, 2016.

The residue amount expected to be distributed in 4 months time instead of within 1 years.

In addition, there should be an additional distribution for period Jan 1, 2016 till completion date, which I estimated to be around S$0.009

A bit strange, because if they have retained 0.09 and are likely to only distribute 0.009, then, the price should be adjust 1.056+.009 i.e. 1.065, but the price is hovering between 1.11 and 1.12 today.

So, chances are people are expecting that it would be 1.056+.09 i.e. 1.146 and willing to buy at 1.11 and aim to collect the 3 -4 cents extra for a holding period of 4 months.

At most, I am handing out an educated guess as to what the markets may do.

The market will always find a new way to make a fool out of me (and maybe, even you!).

Even the best strategies of the past fail, sometimes spectacularly, when you least expect it.

The 0.009 that I estimated is for income for period of Jan & Feb, 2016.

For the last half year, 2.83 cts distributed. So 2.83 cts / 6 x 2 = 0.943 cts.

There are 5% of amount that will be put to an escrow account, which the buyer could claim upon.

Initially, this amount had to be kept for about a year if not mistaken. The new announcement is that it only need to be kept for 4 months.

The current price seems to expect that there won't be much claim from this 5% put in escrow account.

I believe the remediation amount was already agreed upon based on this report. 1.6mil out of the 12.9mil allocated

Thanks, I sold off at 1.12.

I know that there is an implied gain of 2-3 cents which I have left on the table.

However, i felt it was better to take the market offer and move on, rather than trying to squeeze the last cent out of it.
