The problem with Creative is that it keeps burning more cash in trying to compete in the global consumer audio market where it clearly lacks that marketing prowess and scale to be successful.
if only Sim would give up his global ambition and sell out its no doubt valuable patents to a larger player, and return the cash to shareholders. Hope that in his 60s, Sim will come to terms that he will not be able to come up with another global product that is anywhere as profitable as his original sound blaster, and stop throwing more good money after bad.

Creative Subsidiary ZiiLabs Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit in the US against Nvidia Corporation
Creative Technology Ltd today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary ZiiLabs Inc., Ltd ("ZiiLabs") filed a patent infringement lawsuit (“the lawsuit”) in the United States against Nvidia Corporation ("Nvidia").
The ZiiLabs patent portfolio contains patents in the graphics, processor and 3D spaces. Four of these patents (US 6,683,615, US 7,050,061, US 7,710,425 and US 9,098,943) have been asserted in the lawsuit, in which ZiiLabs is claiming damages for patent infringement against Nvidia.

Anyone knows what do the dollar value beside the patents mean? the capitalised IA cost?

This is not something so wow to warrant such a price move...don think it will turn the business ard with this...Most likely another cash burning business ...3D sound, I bet most ppl can't differentiate....

Invest in people, not products. They may have a great product now, but they also have a 2 decade history of mismanagement. I will believe it when I see it (business execution).
