Given that Tay annual salary is less than $1m and low div payouts. I guess money comes from another financial institution (margin acct) or personal property mortgage or loan somewhere.

Can be a good thing when major shareholder has personal debts and the company has lot of cash. Eg FNN.

I'm wondering... usually shift back to own CDP account means easier to use the shares for voting when there's corporate action? Otherwise if no money, still need to pay interest elsewhere anyway...

^^ voting via nominees no problem for major shareholders. They will get priority. Not a concern.

I think the transfer is just preparation in case of unfavorable outcome for court case.
