People who are investors long enough know as long as their money are in the market, it can be like the plane lost in bad weather.
The real investors in life know that anything can happen in life and be prepared to take it all. No more, no less. Just carry on, live your life as you want to live, no matter what happens.
My condolences to the families of all the people on that plane.
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

I thought the blame should be on the traffic control tower and not the bad weather?

It is too early to conclude or even to speculate the reason of the tragedy. Let's be patient with the facts, after the black-box is found.

Speculation will not help in anyway, to authorities, the victims, or their families.

AirAsia eyes up to US$300m bond issuance, jet sales to raise funds: http://businesstimes.com.sg/transport/ai...xtor=AL-18

Budget carrier AirAsia Bhd is planning a convertible bond issue of as much as US$150 million at each of its Philippines and Indonesian associates, and may sell and lease back up to 20 aircraft of the group's fleet this year, group chief executive Tony Fernandes said in a letter to investors.

"Some of the details here are still work-in-progress but what is written will more or less be reality. Due to the recent movement in our share price, we are sharing the details with you earlier than planned," CEO Fernandes said in the letter, sent on Monday, of which Reuters obtained a copy.

""The concern is whether they can execute the fund-raising. Until they announce something on this, the stock will remain weak," said Kee Hoong Tan, an analyst with Alliance DBS Research, who has a 'Hold' recommendation on the stock.

AirAsia would have to inject more of its own funds if it fails to find third-party investors and this would be a strain on its balance sheet, he said. "We don't see how the convertible bonds are going to get done. How can investors have the confidence to put money in the loss-making units?" said one transportation banker at a US bank, speaking on condition of anonymity."

AirAsia says aviation laws prevent it from consolidating associates' accounts

KUALA LUMPUR (June 22): AirAsia refuted on Monday a report that had said the airline was unwilling to consolidate the accounts of its foreign associates and be more transparent about its finances, saying it was prevented from doing so by aviation regulations.

Little-known Hong Kong-based GMT Research said in a June 10 report that AirAsia is unwilling to consolidate the accounts of its foreign associates.

AirAsia's internal audit committee said in a statement the airline had, in fact, been in talks with its auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers and the local authorities on how it can consolidate its associates, over which it has substantial influence despite being a minority owner.

It was advised that it is unable to do so, however, as it does not have legal control over its units in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and India due to local aviation regulations, it said.
