Anyone following this counter?
Numbers were impacted quite badly due to its forex losses as a result of reporting in USD. Is something wrong with the way the Company is hedging its forex exposure?

Quite scary that they are being clobbered all the time when forex moves against them. I thought hedging was to reduce the impact?
Does anyone attends HTL's AGM? Can enlighten your view on that? But interesting to notice that the founding Phua family is buying from the market today

Director has been buying like crazy. USA and more so Europe has been their key market and I'm sure hey have been executing like crazy to bring down the cost, thus when recoveries come in - HTL will experience a surge in turnover, bottomline will get a boost.
Have been pay good dividend. Hope when the earnings increase dividend again will surge!!

We are into something big on this 1 as historical pattern tells us when Economy turns for the better, HTL never fail to deliver. The fact that their top line is growing in a weak economy shows that they are going to turn it around. They could easily hit the nos. back - no small feat - if they the directors are buying back at this level, shouldnt we take a closer look?

it doesnt seem a good idea to own a cyclical business with a rather substantial amount of leverage. It may go bust before the upward cycle
