Interesting to note how Amway has grown in Taiwan over the years on the following link:

http://www.amwaywiki.com/Amway_Taiwan
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Taiwan Market Revenue : (BWL Taiwan Revenue/ Amway Taiwan Revenue )
FY2014 = (TWD 530 m / TWD 11,180 m)  = 4.74%
FY2015 = (TWD 1,280 m / (TWD 11,760 m) = 10.9%

FY2016 (BWL Taiwan revenue target) = TWD 1,800 m

FY2020 (BWL Taiwan revenue target) = TWD 10,000 m

BWL Taiwan (with a relatively smaller base) has been growing at a faster rate than the market leader (Amway).

It is of anybody’s guess as to how close BWL Taiwan could get near Amway going forward but the growth momentum is still going strong.......................................

In China, Amway China did RMB 26,800 m sales in FY2015. It is debatable as to whether BWI would succeed in a big way in China, if a DS license could be granted. Assuming it could not succeed in a big way but could still manage, in a small way, to achieve an annual revenue equivalent to 5% of Amway China, this still works out to be RMB 1,340 m (~SGD 279 m or ~ 2.7 times FY2015 revenue).

Hi Boon

Just curious...is Amway number 1 in Taiwan? Do you happen to have a list top 10 direct selling companies  in Taiwan?
I try to google but unable to find it.

Thanks.

Late disclosure of SSH transaction…………………..

Shi_Jinyu is no longer a SSH now…………but still a shareholder as at AGM …….

Transaction A (07-Mar-2016):
Number of shares sold = 142,200
Amount = SGD 58,302
Transacted price per share = SGD 41 cents

Transaction B (30-Mar-2016):
Number of shares sold = 3,980,500
Amount = SGD 1,611,995.50
Transacted price per share = SGD 40.5 cents

Transaction C (31-Mar-2016):
Number of shares sold = 1,378,000
Amount = SGD 564,980
Transacted price per share = SGD 41 cents

With the benefit of hindsight, he sold the above 3 transactions too early….Nevertheless, he had make slightly over 100% gain - roughly over a 25 month-period. His cost was SGD 19.9 cents per share. - but then again it was a bundled deal………………………………………………….

With increasing trading volume lately, I was thinking maybe new SSH would emerge but it was the other way round.......

This stock has been running almost non stop from 30++cts.
I guess a lot of positives may have been factored in...Upcoming results will reveal if the company will continue or can sustain its strong results going forward.

1Q has normally been the weakest quarter for the Group’s core business of Direct Selling due to its seasonal nature and the long Chinese New Year holidays.

A weak 1Q2016 Group results would not necessarily translate into a weak Group FY2016 results.

The increase in Group revenue in FY2015 to SGD 101.672m was due primarily to strong growth from the Group’s businesses in Taiwan, China and Indonesia.

As reported in AR2015, the management is expecting growth in these 3 key markets to continue into FY2016.

For 1Q2016 results, 1Q2016 revenue for Taiwan is more or less known (see post# 116). It would be interesting to see how others markets are performing especially the Indonesia and China markets.

Even if revenue for Indonesia and China and other markets stay flat in FY2016, a strong revenue growth in Taiwan in FY2016 would be enough to propel FY2016 group revenue into new record territory.

Valuation wise based on PE ratio:

EPS (FY2015) = SGD 6.0 cents (ignoring additional Indonesia tax liability for 2008)

Share price = SGD 85 cents.

=> Historical PE = 85/6 = 14

FY2016 projection:
Assuming group revenue = SGD 125 million (vs FY2015 = 101.672m)
Assuming NPM = 14% (vs FY2015 = 13.1%, excluding additional Indonesia tax liability)
ðNPAT = SGD 17.5 m
ðEPS = SGD 8.0 cents
ðForward PE (FY2016) = 85/8 = 10.6  (vs peer PE of 17 as per CIMB report)

How much of the positives have been factored in ? I don't know.

Seems to me that further upside from a DS license being granted in China has yet to be factored in.

The fact that they have been talking about the DS license for the past 2 yrs. If that indeed happen, it will be a non - event.

Whether the license can bring them further upside remains to be seen, for it will be subjected to execution, implementation and operational risks.
There are no good stocks. Stocks are only good when they go up after you bought them.
