Is there any way to check the financial health of an unlisted company? For example Far East Organization?
For listed companies, I can look at the debt to equity ratio, interest cover, total debt divided by average annual income, variability of income/operating cashflow year to year, etc.
But when it comes to unlisted companies I am rather lost.

If Singapore, try annual returns in ACRA
You can count on the greed of man for the next recession to happen.

Annual Returns contains information of the company such as the name of the directors, secretary, its members, and the date to which the financial statements of the company are made up to. It does not contains financial statements.

Thank you for the hint!
I checked and found that ACRA sell this document called "Corporate Compliance and Financial Profile" which contains very abbreviated balance sheet, P&L and cashflow information. But cost $50.
