Personally, I think the knowledge of the forumers here are so high that we kicked out unneccessary rumours and gossips.
More importantly, it helps to differentiate value investment from securities trading. Price is temporary and value is seriously permanent.

Sorli price is temporary only because value changes too. Anyway nothing is static in life. And i think in death too.:

I subscribed to quite a lot of forums and I thought this is the best place to learn fundamental or value investing. For those forums that I have visited, either there are too many nonsensical post or it's culture is not as serious as what I have seen here. Even paid forum like shareinvestor does not have such culture. Let's hope that it can remain like this. The problem is when more and more people know about the forum, it might one day degrade to that of CNA-Market Talk which is literally just Market (as in wet market) Talk. Let's just keep it to strictly an investing forum.

Well, the Moderator is here to ensure the chatter here does not degenerate into "coffee-shop gossips" and rumours.
Down here, we really only welcome serious discussions on companies and other topics. It's a good place for sharing and learning.

They had done a good job and their action is promptly. I had noticed that "offensive" posting been moderated quicker than any forumer notice it Having said so, there is a limit moderators can do. As a forumer, i do feel that i am obligated to fend off rumours, false facts and misleading info with facts, to allow a "fact-base" environment to discuss the topics we all interested in.

Yes! besides the Moderators, all sincere forumers should help to keep "Sh** stirrers" in their own toilets. Never allow them to do it in the public.
