went to challenger @ funan, don't feel they are doing well, 40% of the floorspace selling household's goods... well, at least their long term rental is low!!
1) Try NOT to LOSE money!
2) Do NOT SELL in BEAR, BUY-BUY-BUY! invest in managements/companies that does the same!
3) CASH in hand is KING in BEAR!
4) In BULL, SELL-SELL-SELL!

their valore products already failed... a lot of valore stores have been converted to normal challenger stores...
see management will take a write off in any quarter or not

valore brand and products can be the "sheng siong" of IT accessories, as long as it does not try to upmarket its price as "takashimaya"!

I concur, and to add-on. Beside upmarket its price, selling "big-ticket item" is also one straight no-no. "Sheng Siong" is a wrong place to sell "air-con"

Anyone look at it in terms of sales per sq ft / Capex per sq ft & has relevant data sources to their total retail space??
interesting firm, sitting on a pile of cash / debt-free, could probably look to JV overseas for expansion + more inorganic growth
