Instead of telling you what to do, maybe I can share how I manage mine. Not a solution for you but just to share.

Investment for many retailers are quite emotional experience. Is one of the hardest to conquer. The fear can cause you to give up or over confidence can crash you. This is always in my mind on how to manage it.

When I first saved quite a sum of cash, I have like 50% in cash, 25% in bond/ps and 25% equity. (Can't remember the exact but to give you an idea of my fear). Over the years, i have them slowly adjusted to more equity. That way i build a profit buffer and experiences to build on before I invest in more cash.
