Treasure at Tampines is a new residential development that is being built on the site of the former HUDC Tampines Court.  It was sold collectively by the owners in an enbloc sale to Sim Lian Land in 2017.  By rights it should have launched earlier than this, but Sim Lian encountered some issues with the authorities due to the size of the project, to get all the clearances.

Because this is going to be a really, really huge development.  The land alone spans almost 2 million square feet.  Sim Lian plans to build 2,225 units at Treasure at Tampines, which, as one might imagine, could cause a massive jam at the entrance and exit of the access road, Tampines Street 11.  They had to do traffic studies, and propose solutions to fix that.

But now that all that has been addressed and the go-ahead given, Treasure at Tampines promises to be an attractive project.  For one thing, it is the first new condominium launching in the east part of Tampines for quite a while, and within walking distance of an MRT station and shopping mall.  Not to Tampines town centre (even though it is only 1km from that), but actually via a pedestrian bridge across the PIE, to Simei MRT station, and Eastpoint Mall.  You can even walk to St Andrews Community Hospital and Changi General Hospital from the Treasure @ Tampines site.

This project should cater to pent up demand from buyers who have been awaiting a new launch in a more central part of Tampines, rather than the last few such as Santorini, The Alps and Tapestry, that are all along Tampines Avenue 10.  Anyway, the Treasure at Tampines showflat should be opening for viewing appointments soon, possibly end September or early October 2018.  As of now, the floor plans and other details are not ready yet.

Up to now there is still no news as to when Treasure at Tampines will be launching for sale.  Perhaps they are waiting for demand to build up, but as of now there is little competition in the area.
