if assumption china retaliate by cutting supply of "whatever item" crucial to US economy or highly volume imported by US.. 
technically it should cause the price of the "whatever item" to shoot up in US.

Probably wait for Las Vegas Sands to collapse. The reason is that if China retaliates, it will slap a travel ban to those casinos. I guess the share price will fall drastically. Right now it's giving 5% dividend, and yet the share price is not going up
