Hi all,
I'm glad to see a thread on Jap stocks. Just curious, I realized many of these small to mid cap counters have very low trading volume. Any problems selling them ? I assume these counter has a wider bid/ask spread and wont have much liquidity compared to main caps or blue chips?

Thanks for the advice.

It must be micro caps that you're talking about then.
With my limited experience with Jap small cap stocks, I didn't have much problems with liquidity, and/or the spread.
In fact, I think the Topix probably has a much larger captive audience compared to SGX, so liquidity should be better.

Thanks for the advice. Nikkei seems to be on the downtrend. I will keep a watch on those counters that are shared here. Cheers~! Smile

Hi all, thank you all for these deep ideas from Japan. I become interested in this country after I saw an impressive total return in a small spanish investment fund (Japan Deep Value) with +37% after fees in 2017. I have an Excel with its holdings but there are 42 positions, if you want I could paste them there, or maybe the Top #10, as you prefer.

Yes a top 10 would be great.

Did some googling, and I believe this is the one adrivalue is talking about? Holdings are at the bottom.

  • JP3604400006 TOHOKUSHINSHA FILM
  • JP3718600004 NJS CO LTD
  • JP3875610002 MARUZEN CO LTD
