Unless they continue to buy more next week, the amount bought is too insignificant.

1. Because they know the share price is significantly undervalued. Hence, they performed repurchasing.
2. They like to make small multiple buybacks over several weeks/months. You can see this from sgx under announcements for the past 12 months. This is normal especially when you want to buy shares at lowest for each of the day.
3. The company just started to grow. They do not have alot cash to perform alot buybacks since they need cash for their operations and building their new product to sell.
4. Share price has dropped recently for no apparent reasons. Probably due to technical analysis.

In the income statement, there is a line for changes in inventory of finished goods and WIP. This amount exceeds net profit for H1 2017. I find it unusual that this is recorded as income. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Hi vingaard

This is the indirect approach to compute cost of sales.
An example - starting biz for the first time. opening stock is nil, purchase of stock is 100, ending stock is 20, cost of goods sold is 100 - 20 = 80.
What we have here is purchase of stock 100 and a stock builtup of (Ending Bal 20 - Opening Bal 0) = 20.  As such, whenever there is a stock built up, it serves to deduct from the purchase of 100 to arrive at the cost of goods sold during the period = 80.

A.2 total purchase for the period is S$88.8 and stock builtup (increase in stock bal) is S$12.5, resuling in Cost of sales of S$76.  In the other word, part of the purchase goes to COS, whereas part of it go to increase the ending stock.

Hope this helps.

AEM ($4.17) - wow, CIMB raised target price to a hefty $5.97 per share for AEM. However, this valuation is not without basis and may be achievable given the estimated eps for FY2017 ard $0.55 and FY2018 ard $0.75
