@soros but when it comes down to it, the new post LKY administration will be wise to defer to greater powers like China/US or basically any country

I think is unrealistic to expect Singapore to be more powerful than China because that's mean likely China is in serious trouble and not because Singapore has go very strong unless we can reach a population say 100M.

However you do bring rightly the case in point in Terrex that we can still be bullied. And this is where total defense comes in with the deterrence concept. We need to make sure aggressor suffering is painful enough for them to think thrice. Singapore is top investor in China. We are mainly chinese racial mix and despite our differences, Singapore is still be more trusted than other Asia nations. 9 older version of chassis is not worth the trouble if I were them. I think they have mis-stepped.

Terrex is a good demonstration, the haze is another...

strong statement, Smile

I agree, but then again, Singapore is often ignored by many anyway. LKY did his best to put sg on the map through his skilful ways...
nowsdays, we are just lack of good leaderships & scoring a lot of own goals (cock-ups).....

think it's best for Singapore to keep low profile and keep churning the money in... our time (good leaders) will come...hopefully! Big Grin

Ha! Ha!

Haven't you heard of the phase - "Bully Kechit"

So if we can remember and live by what the CHINESE says --

"Ai Chai Dou Kai"

We should be doing alright.

Is Duterte tall?
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.
