if "accumulate stock in long run" means building a retirement fund, then be aware the US estate tax has a very low starting level for non-US Residents.
For already retired and elderly investors, it is better to avoid US market and US brokers .

FYI, the current brokers, had taken the "lunch" of the old job of runner, decades ago.
