The west side of the island has long been seem as an area for industrial activities where warehouse and factories are placed. It was the place few locals will love to purchase a property. Until the last 10 yrs things began to change. Singapore URA planners began to plan for several section of the island to be develop to give more growth and to decentralize the city centre. Tampines, Changi Business park, Paya Lebar, Woodland, Jurong Lake Districts and the Marina area are all area being identify to be replan and redevelop to provide more economic activities in to these location so that citizens living nearby could possibly work even closer to where they live. An ingenious strategy to ease traffic jam in to the city centre. Jurong Lake district where Lake Grande Jurong location would be the largest of those regional centre with huge space earmarked to create commercial, entertainment and Industrial activities. Plans in the pipelines include altering the Jurong lake into a bautiful waterfront city with restaurents and pub along side lake. Many hotel will also be included inside of the plan. Another possibility is the high speed rail project that link Singapore to KL Malaysia by a bullet train. Traveling time is expected to be reduced to only fourty-five minutes
