Today is the kick off day of Medishield Life.

But,  I had yet to receive any reduction in premiums for integrated plans?
Since the insurers are going to pay less for the treatments, they should reduce their premiums accordingly?

Any agent here that has some info?

Edit: Integrated plans has two portions which are basic medishield life and the additional private insurance coverage. The premium for the private insurance premium will remain the same in the 1st yr of medishield life. However, there is an increase in premium for Medishield life portion since there is higher benefit coverage as compared to Medishield. Thus, overall, there is an increase in premium for the integrated plan.

Information
"Those already covered by either MediShield or a private integrated plan (IP) must pay only the higher premium when their premiums are next due. But they will enjoy the higher coverage from tomorrow."

I think I sort of understand. The private insurers are getting less premium from the total premium paid since the current premium is composed of two parts - Medishield life + topup.

I did an study on the adequacy of basic shield. Hope to debunk some myths on shield and IP.

I tried copy and paste from my blog but the table does not appear properly. Not for clicks counts
