There's some movement in its stock price after the report by CIMB.

I think this is a real gem in the making and I have previously written a report on it here:

Some developments regarding Dutech Holdings Ltd.

1) Potential acquisition on the works for Dutech. A total purchase price in the lower seven digit (EUR) range was agreed for the purchase of the Retail & Logistics and Public Transport business units and the Parking Systems business unit of Metric Group Holdings Ltd. Looking at the respective business units in the Metric Group website, they deal with ticketing machines for parking and mobile terminals, which is similar to what Dutech does.

2) A new building has been constructed at the Sutong plant to manufacture NuVinci continuously variable planetary (CVP) transmissions, for an undisclosed European automotive player. However, the manufacturing contract is still being negotiated. Seems like Dutech is expanding their manufacturing repertoire Big Grin .

(Vested...hope both news turn out positively for Dutech)

Dutech is fast building up a reputation as a turn around artist.
All their M&A deals thus far involve taking over competitors that were losing money and/or market share, integrating the operations into Dutech, and turning them around. What's more impressive is that Johnny Liu managed to do all this in a very very short period of time. I didn't think there'd be another M&A coming up anything soon after Krauth, but Dutech is actually working hard behind the scenes.

I'm a bit puzzled by the new manufacturing building though, as Dutech has previously indicated that they're going to focus on the software and technology part, and outsource the hardware part.

I'm guessing that's only for the ATMs. Not familiar with this "NuVinci continuously variable planetary (CVP) transmissions" stuff so will have to do some DD on that.
In the short run, the M&A and building of plant may impact on the balance sheet and earnings. In the long run, if Johnny Liu can turn it around, it'd be another massive boost to earnings and NAV. Looking at how fast this guy works, I don't think it'd take very long for him to show results.

Steady performance and overall business continue. The sharp increase in Advances to Suppliers and Inventories in the latest balance sheet are pointing towards a healthy increase in business volume and sales to come in the next 2 or more quarters.

Mmm...so Trump better for guns cabinets? People can buy more guns?

Or more gun control better? Because govt can make them get cabinets to store it?

If I remembered correctly, it was traded at 0.445 or 0.44 yesterday. I like the detailed discussion exchanged here for value investments on companies with growth potential. I've been following Dutech only this month, then upon searching more, I found ValueBuddies' thread, as well as TTTI blog post on Dutech. Quite an interesting S-Chip counter to a newbie like me.

FY16 full-year result out last night and makes interesting reading....
http://infopub.sgx.com/FileOpen/Dutech_F...eID=441692

Going forward, apart from its well-established High Security segment, we can reasonably expect Dutech's group business will experience faster growth and transformation especially in its Business Solutions segment which has completed 3 acquisitions - Krauth Technology GmbH ("Krauth"; incorporated in Germany), METRIC Group Holding Ltd ("Metric UK"; incorporated in UK), and certain assets from METRIC Mobility Solutions AG ("Metric AG"; incorporated in Germany) - in FY16. A clearer picture of Dutch's evolving group businesses can be better appreciated by reviewing the following Dutech Group subsidiaries' websites....

http://www.tristarinc.com [Dutech's principal subsidiary in PRC]
http://krauth-technology.com [Krauth]
http://www.metricgroup.co.uk [Metric UK]
http://www.almex.de/en/company/portrait/ [Dutech's German subsidiary which has absorbed certain assets from Metric AG]

Quite clearly, Dutech is a mini-MNC in the making..
