The writer of the Nextinsight article worked out the amount of cash that New Toyo would have following the receipt of money from Shanghai Asia, and expressed hope for another round of special dividend.
In many of his posts, Stockerman warned about the decline of New Toyo share price --- his recent one on 14 Oct 13 suggested that 20-25 cents.
As the share price is still around 29 cents. Can we then say that investors are mis-led by Stokerman?

In every trade, there is a buyer and seller, both thinking he is the smart one to buy, or sell, at that price. One will be correct, one will be wrong.
At the end, we have to do our own thesis when investing. We cannot blame anyone for our losses. We won't even thanks anyone for giving us tips. Let Stockerman say all the negative stuff. Let Underdogger say all the positive stuff. Go and verify the information. If still at a loss of what to do, then don't do anything.
Maybe the only one that can mislead us are the directors or owners of companies for providing false information.

hi cyclone,
i am as baffled as you are. i am glad you are stepping in.
true that forummers are entitled to post their own views, but i am of the opinion(and believe many others are as well) that new toyo thread readers are taken for a ride.
i am glad that Underdogger kept his cool all this while and continued to post relevant details with backing to prop up this thread.

IIRC, in your previous post, you said that you had 700 lots of New Toyo.
In regard to your negative comments on New Toyo, are you still vested in New Toyo ? I'm curious. Thanks.
Good morning Cyclone and every1.

Just to recap and consolidate all the anecdotal evidence in support for New Toyo on the various fronts:-
a. Massive buying volume for Tien Wah in the last 3 days. (pls check KLSE to verify) – if Tien Wah does well, New Toyo will naturally benefit. Btw, Tien Wah is now trading at about 5% premium to its NAV while New Toyo is still languishing at 20% below its paper NAV (not adjusted for investment properties, etc).
b. Massive cash holdings within New Toyo’s Group and Tien Wah does not have to depend on New Toyo for cash funding for its opex and capex. New Toyo can easily afford a final special dividend >= interim special dividend of 2.28 cents.
c. Specialty Paper segment (controlled 100% by New Toyo) is set to improve tremendously this FY and contribute additional revenue and profits. This will benefit New Toyo directly (and not Tien Wah). PMI will give a lot more specialty paper business to New Toyo.
d. Myanmar, the Philippines and China are massive under-tapped markets for BAT. Check out the past recent announcement of Nanning subsidiary being set up by New Toyo.
e. BAT (Malaysia) director was recently appointed into Tien Wah’s Board (Pls check KLSE to verify). He was the regional Asia Pacific head for BAT for a couple of years. (pls check to verify). If BAT is not serious about giving more business to Tien Wah/New Toyo, why go thru all these troubles?

Another high volume day for Tien Wah - 290 lots. remember that Tien Wah only has about 99mil shares, 4 times less than New Toyo.
Tien Wah edged up further towards to all time high level...

Hi Mr Simpleman
if 2nd round of special dividend does not materialize, will New Toyo crash back to 20-22 cents? this was where it was originally with SAH.
Without SAH, does it make sense for it to trade even at 28.5 cents?

the following part of the news article caught my attention..
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2013/10/23...5720131023
" The reduction in volumes was due to lower demand in Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Egypt and Western Europe, which offset the growing popularity of its brands in markets such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam and the Middle East.".
New Toyo/Tien Wah is located right smack in the middle of a burgeoning smoking population. New Toyo mentioned about entering the middle east, north african markets as well at the last AGM. these are the biggest volume growth market for the next few decades...

Can we engage Muddy Waters to help to do background checks on Tien Wah and New Toyo?
