Q : Is there a correlation between a person’s blessings and his upholding of the Precepts.

A : There is definitely a correlation between a person’s blessings and his upholding of the Precepts. The stronger a person upholds the Precepts, the bigger his blessings will be. Such a person will not “Double-tongued”, involved in lewd speech, cause harm to others, steal, or be involved in intoxication. Don’t you think this person will be blessed? When he is strong in upholding the Precepts, he is not greedy, he has no hatred, he is not ignorant, don’t you think his blessings will be immense? On the other hand, if a person is greedy, wants to possess excessively, do you think he will be a blessed person? For a start, he will be disliked by others.

Inspirational Stories 106 The Guan Yin Citta has greatly improved my health situation

Hi everyone, I would like to share my own experience with you. I am 26 years old now. At the age of 21, I was diagnosed with malignant lymph tumour, which was generally known as lymph cancer. At the time I did not know what it implied, and my family did not tell me anything specific about my sickness. Therefore, I wasn’t even scared at all when I was undergoing the surgery. The most painful thing for me however, was the unstoppable hair loss after chemotherapy. I didn’t want to face anyone especially my boyfriend. I didn’t want them to see my ugly appearance. Later on, I unintentionally found my medical record, which had been hidden from me by my mother. I cried when I saw the words “malignant lymph tumour”, but I encouraged myself to stay strong for my parents. My boyfriend then broke up with me, which was understandable because of my health situation. Up till now, my sickness has lasted for five years. I have suffered from the reoccurrence and I have to undergo chemotherapy every year. There have been a few times that I almost died from my sickness. Chemotherapy and death are the two things that cancer patient scare of the most. This kind of fear was overwhelming because I may die from the reoccurrence at any time.
Throughout these years, my fear never went away. I suffered from another reoccurrence last winter. Just when I was despair, Aunty Hu introduced Guan Yin Bodhisattva and the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door to me. She instructed me how to perform daily recitation of scriptures and recite Little Houses. I keep reciting Little Houses while I receive medical treatments. Up till now, my health situation has been a lot better. It was a lot of pain for me when I was undergoing chemotherapy before; even so, my tumour was shrinking at a very slow rate. However, the medical examination a few days ago found that the tumour had shrunk quite a bit. Even the doctor found it surprising.
The night before the examination, my mother dreamt about two people holding a banner in front of her, with words “Fortune Comes” on it. I believe that I will get better and better with the blessing of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. I am still working during the period of getting chemotherapy treatments. My colleagues all find me very encouraging and positive. I know that Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s has been merciful blessing and protecting me.
I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Guan Yin Bodhisattva, to the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, to Master Lu, and to aunty Hu. I will keep reciting the Little Houses and be persistent in my Buddhist practice. I believe that Guan Yin Bodhisattva will help me radically cure my sickness. I would like to share my own experience on the Internet so that more people can read it. I wish that more and more people will believe in the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door and be blessed by Guan Yin Bodhisattva.
