Since LS has at least 20.776%, CBB will not reach the 90% to make the acquisition compulsory.
The company will become suspended until it get delisted.
Time to decide whether to take the money and redeploy in other companies or to sit tight with LS.

Therefore the 20% that LS holds does not count as free float since it is owned by 1 entity. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?
then is there much difference whether public or private?
Looking at 13.2 (listing status) of the offer document, my understanding is that sgx may suspend trading in the event the offeror owns more than 90% of the total number of issued shares, not including treasury shares.
So my question is should Lam Soon shareholdings be added to what offeror has to date to trigger suspension of trade? If not added, then clearly ben chng has still someway to go before hitting 90%. Can some valuebuddy clarify? Thanks
There are many ways lead to delisting of stock. one of them is the company failing to comply with the Securities Exchange’s rules (Rule 723) on minimum free float i.e. 10%
Lam Soon stake is not counted for the 90%, but is counted as non-public shareholder i.e. excluded from free float

Normally the detail procedure will be documented in general offer document and FAA/FAT forms. So you should be able to find out the detail info in the company's docs.

Hi Cityfarmer,
Thank you.
I found it at FAA/FAT forms. It's within 10 days after the date of receipt of valid acceptance.
