The achievement is largely contributed by the fiber broadband network, IMO

Singapore joins 'high broadband' club in Asia Pacific: Report

SINGAPORE — Singapore has joined the likes of South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong in the top ranks for Asia Pacific when it comes to Internet broadband speeds.

According to the quarterly Akamai State of the Internet report issued today (Oct 1), the average connection speeds in the Republic currently stand above 10Mbps against the global average of 4.6 MBps.

Sg could have been faster if the govt open up the telcos market faster. 'Managed/fake competiton' has its hidden costs.

From the lack of innovation by the 3 GLC telcos. Have u seen them do anythinf innovative?

The Koreans are first to have high broadband adoption. Now they have world class gamers. And many world class Internet companies in games, content and communications.
