Hi Chialc
Very true on the herd instinct..I recently bot a stock as the leader kept saying it was coming, after i bot, 2 days later, it dived. No blame leader cos it is good lesson to learn. Should not follow the crowd blindly or maybe my bad luck. During then i have the choice to pick this or Sheng Siong when it was at 0.61 and last week was 0.67...haha ..but painful though.
So now I am still licking my wounds. Decided to go for blue chips. Don't know whether is right but we shall see.

What are Blue Chips? Are each component stock of STI INDEX is a Blue Chip? Can one or more of this Blue CHIPS become "BLUE BLACK CHIP"? Are there any other BLUE CHIPS outside of STI's component stocks? BLUE CHIPS sure make money? Penny stocks and very small companies sure lose money?
All stock can make and lose money?
So if you can, always buy "anything" with a "margin of safety". And everyone's is entitled to define his own method to arrive at the value of "safety of margin". We are all different. If no differences among us - no market.
Example,
What do you think of the current IPO FCL? Do you think there is any "margin of safety" for you to apply? For stagging? For short to long term? And remember everyone is entitled to his (opinion) value of "margin of safety".
Me? The stronger pro is cornerstone investors oversubscribe by 21 times. But not sure if it's really a pro for there are many cons to pros.
And don't ask me or anyone. You are entitle to find your own pros and cons of this IPO for your own "Margin of Safety".
We all have our own ways of looking at things.
WB:-
1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.
Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.
NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

It is important to learn from experience, and must learn right.
We should learn from a bad drink-driving experience, then follow a drink-no-drive practice, rather than beer-only-no-wine-and-still-drive approach.
