For news. Use second order thinking (as explained by Howard Marks) to analyze.

If it is obvious, unlikely to make big money.

mmm....

I read last two weeks VB posts and lots of discussion on buying stocks...
there is a sense of encouraging people to trade (aka how to buy, when to buy, what to buy, etc).

investigations, ideas, tips on doing the right things, finding the right stocks, etc.

I'm impacted as I had read up more on different stocks...
I'm have the urge to buy or take more actions...
I'd yet see whether it's positive or negative.
... I just remind myself to be careful.

I also remind myself that SCB is a great trading platform (since I discover it).

Is your shares at Custodian Acct safe?
i understand when 2008/2009 collapsed of Lehman Brothers, etc... the custodian accounts there were in a mess.
It takes quite sometime to sort out.
Has everyone got back all his shares?
Will CDP ever collapse? If it happens, what happens to our shares?
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

lol human are genetically optimistic since we (insert choice here) (came down from trees/created from earth by God/genetically modified by aliens.)
If we keep thinking about collapse, end of the world etc, we would not be able to move forward.
