early days still I believe. Temasek bought in at $1.70 before capital reduction of $0.30, so they pay $1.40 for STATS.

The two China companies interested to buy over Stats Chippac, Jiangsu Changjing Electronics 600584 listed on Shanghai exchange was halted yesterday pending major announcement. Tianshui Huatian 002185 listed on Shenzhen exchange is halted today. Smile

Tianshui Huatian is out of the game.....Don't think Jiangsu Changjing can swallow StATs ChippPac alone....shorting game started....

Jiangsu Changjiang will have an online investor seminar this coming Thurs.

Company says that it is in preliminary talks with Stats Chippac and chances to come to any legally binding agreement within the next 3 months is low.

Just my 2 cts worth (to Temasek): why can't Temasek privatize Stats say at 80 ct to stop all this play. Afterall, it has deep pocket, doesn't it?

They probably had enough of red ink and STATs is a non core now consider that they have exited CSM long time ago...
