The traffic on the road nowadays is crazy.
I no longer drive during peak hours or go into the CBD if I could.
Usually walk or cycle.
The COE is expensive now but that's besides the point.
Point is that driving and parking is becoming a nightmare.
Same goes for public transport.
To save the hassle of getting caught in the rush hour.
Best to live near your place of work.

Definitely! It's the time to sweeten the ground. 2015/16 will be even better.

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.
Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.
NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

Anyone who have a craving to own a car should hire one first, for at least 7 days
Drive it to places where you are most likely to go or even thought of going:
Likely places:
work
market
favourite makan places
favourite hang outs
girl/boy friend's home/work place
hospital to visit people
Kid's school/tuition
pet shop/grooming
cinema/shopping/jalan-jalan
car workshop/service centre
airport
'Want to go' places:
beach
zoo
resevoirs
Johore/KL/Penang/Nature parks
And in each of these places, experience:
the route
the parking ( multi story parking, open air parking, basement parking.)
the charges
and please drive during peak, off peak, rain and no rain, weekends & public holidays.
Never mind the price of the car, with or without COE, more COE or less COE.
Compare the experience with train/bus/taxi
Then, ask yourself:
1. Was it a pleasant experience?
2. Was it faster than taxi/train/bus?
3. Was there any worry about the car?
4. Could I repeat this again & again for 3 years?
If the craving is not diminished, then, give in to it.
Revisit the questions again after 1, 2 and 3 years.
The answers may be very different.
And add 4 more questions:
1. How has the quality of my life improved?
2. Do I have more or less time?
3. Am I a calmer & relaxed person?
4. My income has increased/decreased because of owning the car.

To me, to find honest workshops is quite a difficult thing to do.
