How did you get the $1M figure. The last I checked, HDB apartments do not cost that much except for a few exceptional transactions.

Yes, to me that is a very possible scenario. I am sure gahmen is also aware of that. The question we should ask ourselves is why are they doing things that will obviously make them lose votes? A responsible government does not look at issues in isolation and does not just look at its present impact. This is not easy for a little red dot of a country. We can argue against their policy (the ministers have admitted that they do not a monopoly on wisdom and do not have all the answers), but to paint them (as some netizens are doing) as a group out to screw Singaporeans with every opportunity is simply incredulous.
They are doing things out of self interest.
They are humans too.

Maybe your Dream is just HDB. Dream is a target and then estimate where are we. Is not that we will reach. Not today. Is just to give us a good idea how far we are from our Dreams. People will exchange to have smaller family size to achieve their dream.

I got this feeling the CDL chief made sense, but it for the rich people up there. It's pro- business to have prices keep going north. Corporate vision is planned according to this and little or No contingency is made for a melt-down scenario. I think gov will be wise to press on the curbs. Otherwise a full bubble will be formed if the curbs r removed, when everyone plunge into the believe that property price can never fall. In any case, I believe the high prices r also a result of foreigners putting money in sg. And much of those money r not creating jobs, and is not sustainable in longer time frame.[/code]
