Teach less LEARN MORE is not work less

In investment of companies, less cost to produce more profits. Would u give the directors a pay cut or pay raise?

We are in the business of building people.
Do we really want to judge our teachers based on their pay?

Does a highly paid teacher means he/she is successful?
and for the matter, a small salary means that she/he is no good?

We all understand that the purpose of education is to stimulate the creativity and passion of our student mind and body.

Imagine for a second that you are a teacher.
Why is it important that "real" learning took place?
How should you design a lesson to ignite the desire for students to learn, grow and better themselves?
What is your approach to instill IDEAs effectively?

Upon reflection.

1. To be able to Teach Less and Learn More (TLLM) is still an experiment for us.
2. It definitely requires a lots of energy on the teacher.
3. TLLM teaching is unorthodox and the method is at best questionable.

From the passionate response, I see we have some teachers and tutors here

Anyone who has imparted a skill or knowledge will intuitively know "teach less learn more" takes a lot more out of us.

Teaching more is 1 way street.

Do as I've taught you. Don't question why? Keep quiet! Stop raising your hand! It's not a bloody discussion!!!

What? Why you so stupid? I've explained 10 times already! Go ask your tuition teacher lah!

In Singapore, it is all about being exam smart.

Totally agreed. Some people are naturally inclined to it. And they end up being the policy makers and high ranking personals etc. There is generally a lack of creativity and innovation ability here, and probably will never change if we continue this path down.

Having said that, its a classic example of the gov policy and where money can be made, tuition centers and education related stuffs. U w never be poor if u know where the right trade is.

In Singapore, it is all about being exam smart.
