Samsung's strategy seems to cover all corners, and market will decide the winner.

It covers phone with display sizes of 4+ inches, 5+ inches, 6+ inches, tablets of 7 inches, 8 inches and 10+ inches.

Samsung Ativ Q combines Windows with Android

LONDON — Samsung yesterday (this morning (June 21), Singapore time) announced a raft of new products that include the convertible Ativ Q tablet and laptop hybrid that runs both Windows and Android. The device is the technology industry’s latest bid to combine laptop with tablet, and works in four different configurations.

“Addressing a common desire among PC users to be able to access Android apps on a Windows-based PC, the ATIV Q allows you to now experience both Windows 8 and Android Jellybean 4.2.2 on the same device,” Samsung said. “Not only will you get access to Android apps via Google Play, but you will also be able to transfer files or share folders and files from Windows 8 to Android.”

In my opinion, it will create a situation where consumers will wait-it-out, for the next better option.

For example, recent sales of the S4 has slowed pretty much. And Samsung wants to release a better processor chip version of the S4. It creates multiple choice for consumers, but it also frustrates consumers.

Thanks. Traumfanger

IMO, multiple choices, and more frequent product updates, will never be a "problem" for consumers. The worst, it is a happy "problem"

One of the issue for Apple's product, is the features are top-down, never bottom-up.
