roger,
It's not just them but also our favourite WB.
If WB is born in Africa or Amazon river, he will be eaten alive (literally).
Smile

Relax and have a nice weekend.

Monday will be a interesting day...

Just thinking now how many people like him (as talented as him) in China are under "utilised"? Shudder!

If i am born in China, i think i am "finished".

Stock investment 25 years ago?
No way!
Not in China."

I slightly disagree on this. To say that if we are born in China, we will have no potential is to disregard a number of successful businessmen and investors who were born and still live in China.

In electric car, BYD, Kandi, and Geely has shown so far that it can fight against western companies. In consumer goods we have Hangzhou Wahaha group, Tsingtao Group, YiLi, etc. In information technology, computer and networking we have Huawei, Lenovo, Alibaba, Tencent, etc.

Are those companies suddenly exist as big companies?

Yes, there are cases like MengNiu but everybody makes mistakes. Toyota cars frequently broke down in the old days.

Danone will spend about 325 million euros ($417 million) to form a joint venture and invest in MengNiu.

Disclosure: i am chinese but i was not born in china and i do not live in china
Hi Roger,
Sorry, for the "Miscom".
i am saying the place, the time, the culture, the kind of society makes the man. Of course China with sheer number of people alone can produce many very special talents.
I can still remember the talented young man who play piano with his legs after losing his hands through accident.
But i still maintain in Life, we "actually" can not choose.
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.
