After one month, cost on purchase is reduced to 53 - 1.5 - 35.5 = 16 cents with an uncertain but likely payoff of 60 - 1.5 - 35.5 = 23 cents in 2 years time (excluding all transaction costs).

The risk is on the china associate. They can go bankrupt in future (less likely but possible), but their book value can also continue to grow in next 1-2 years.

I agreed with your view

If the target RTO company want the China Associate to be disposed before injecting the asset into the company, what are possible and likely method?
Distribute associates' share to all shareholder? Chew Khim Bok buy over minority's share? The China associate buy over Elite's share?
