Chanced upon this thread which makes me re-look at Lantrovision again. I bought the shares in 2007/8 and sold them for a loss as it does not seem to be going anywhere in terms of business direction and price movement. It seems to me that the management is taking actions to make the company more visible. Consolidation of shares, giving dividend and now share buy-back. I am favourable of these moves.

With a positive half-year performance this year, I am hopeful that the company is on the right path for further growth. As such, I am taking a small stake in Lantrovision again and will monitor its performance in the coming years.

Happy to see more new shareholders who are taking a longer view on Lantrovision and its well-established and growing business!

I guess at least a decent dividend return is a given here; and when any of the 3 'musketeers' now running the business - and together also the controlling shareholders - wants to retire, there will be a good chance that the entire business would be sold to the highest bidder, leading to a potential privatisation GO. Or am I just dreaming?

thanks for updating on this share dydx.

I will be starting my accumulation on monday Big Grin Sad I missed out last year cheaper price before announcement of the 2 cent DIV.

You know me, well run company that has banked up NET CASH to almost 80% seldom come by, so far hisaka is the only one, but unfortunately run by young management which has decided to sell out and went for RTO.

In today's uncertain market, at least even with no MOSI, the cash is enough to buffer any drop. Also the other thing is from what i read in annual report, only like 700k+ of cash is in fixed accounts and has to be stuck there for business guarantee and such. The bulk of the remainder cash ~50mil may be in FD but that leaves 20+mil still open for special distribution and such.

Not sure why they needed to do the warrants thing, maybe trying to increase float and make the stock more liquid? Back then they did have enough capital to fund the spending internally. The CEO also didn't exercise his stock options, but one of the non-exec Director which also owns recently HK listed Singaporean electrical engineering company called Kingbostrike Limited did buy in @34cents.

But high net cash and one of the few growing and profitable businesses around in these uncertain times its definitely a buy. Very high likelyhood of something exciting happening is there.

Lantrovision this morning hit a post-capital restructuring (completed end-Sep12) high of $0.415…..
http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=Q7W.S...l&c=%5ESTI
Against the STI, share price wise Lantrovision has out-performed the STI by some 38% since end Jul13, before counting the $0.02/share Final dividend for FY13 (ended 30Jun13) paid 15Nov13.

So finally Mr Market is willing to price this gem-grade business above its NAV/share (31Dec13: $0.3915)!

If tomorrow stable, I will be vesting some more. Definitely some news in the making as today's large volume is highly unusual or did any other valuebuddy buy in also? Big Grin

I only got like 100 lots yesterday. Only just opened my tracker to see it has jumped to 40cents.

must be a miracle then coz whenever I start my position in a counter it always drop the next day hahaha....

I think more likely the person who bought 25 25 50 50 50 25 20 5 = total 250 lots this morning is the market maker

either that or there is some positive announcement coming out soon and insiders have leak the news. After all as I mentioned before, one of the non exec- directors who already owns other listed company actually increase his stake.

I started buying last month when it was 0.38, later at 0.375 and 0.37 this month. I was expecting it to go sideways for several months, and my total position is less than 10 lots. But apparently, some bigger player come in.Big Grin
