agree fully with mulyc.
this old man is moving slowly even in spite of release of long anticipated results.
upside at this short term is unknown n unpredicable. anyone's guess.
but my observation shows downside less as shown visibly by very strong buying at 22.5-23c c.f. 21-21.5 b4 announcement.

Hopefully they'll announce some dividends in July since April don't have any.
And any updates on their internal family lawsuit?

Just a thought. In the near term, the reported numbers will likely not form a base to support a huge spike in share price (of coz, Mr Market tends to surprise or shock many a times). Reason saying this is generally, the development of Kim Chuan will mean accounting-wise, a portion of IP will be transferred to another balance likely called property under development (PUD). Hupsteel is gg to incur development costs and PUD will grow (at actual cost). Once fully developed, depending on mgmt intention, they can either rent it out (transfer back to IP at redeveloped COST), or sell to third party (asset held for sale). Only the latter option would see Hupsteel being able to recognise a sizeable gain on disposal of IP. Can't foresee Hupsteel mgmt gg for latter option unless offered a super compelling price, rental income would be a nice cushion for a weak steel core business.
Maybe as shareholders of this counter, we get a bit hasty for Mr Market to make sense of the news and re-rate this counter but in practice, for the reality to be reflected in positive numbers, we have to wait. Time will tell.

personally, i find it strange that if ownership change, why the new owner still kept the old name. unless its like for historical reasons?

i tried goggle 168tyrwhitt rd. it showed CHS building as a collective building.
physically if i din recall wrongly, i saw chop hup seng huat 1951 on a row of 3-4shophouses ard 168,170,172 tyrwhitt road.
CHS building means chop hup seng huat?
