I am not implying the book is not useful at all. There are some decent ideas. However, it also contains plenty of cliches and motherhood statements which can be found in a lot of other books by lesser writers. In this context I find it less useful. Perhaps I had very high expectations before reading the book due to his huge reputation, which contributed to the disappointment.

Contrast his book with the one from Joel Greenblatt "You can be a stock market Genius" (I may not have remembered the title exactly), where very specific ideas and examples are provided.

Reading this book now. I think fellow fans of Peter Lynch (esp. 'CityFarmer') may be interested. It's not as easy to read (as Peter Lynch books) though...Confused

Anthony Bolton's record is somewhat tarnished in recent years when he returned in 2010 to start the Fidelity China Special Situations Fund. Still, I believe there must be many things we can learn from his past success.
