After buying TVB in 2010-2011, Shell King probably cared more about his reputation as TVB director and later on, TVB Chairman. I guessed that was the subtle catalyst.
Shell King never took cash dividends. He and most shareholders took scrip dividend at 5% discount to mkt price.
The main engine that drove the dividends is ITC Properties.
ITC Corp was sold by Shell King Chan to another Shell King Suen....so many shell kings + queen in HK...hahaha
