RE: Stamford Land
Just wonder why management couldn't be bother to make announcement on this at all ?
Negligible revenues ?

Not saying that it is, but just having fun speculating.
Let's say if I be the Management and I've intention to privatize the Company.
What would I do?
First and foremost, don't let the price go up!
I could reduce the Dividend, don't entertain shareholder questions (at least satisfactorily)
and of course trying not to paint a positive picture of the Company.

Not saying that it is, but could it be that case?

Just can't imagine , if without the hard work of Boon , we are still in the dark, we have to dig out this piece of news from the authority of Australia . Nothing great to bully retail investors ! Shame on them !

Most retail investors are rank and file workers and many have to report to their corporate bosses in their own jobs. Now the boss at the TOP of the corporate chain, has to report to those at the bottom? That doesn't sound rewarding for someone who is at the top! Smile

Took a look at mainboard listing rules 703 and I think they are still following the rules.

And come to think of it, information has to be asymmetric in this world, for investing to be fun. Else, where's the reward for been an insider or someone who works harder to get that info.

If their companies remained as private , they are free from such obligations . They can always take private if they are tired of such obligations .

You can always write in to them... or to The Edge or Businesstimes. You can also tell everyone on other investment forums! Smile

Those who were at the last AGM had already witnessed how the AGM was conducted . It was indeed a testimony .

RE: Stamford Land
Lol.. Management not interested for a high share price lah. Just wanna keep share price low and trap your money. Occasionally give some crumbs to OPMI when times are good.

AUD down supposed to be good for their hotel business but I reckon market disruptor like AirBnB will affect to some degree. Also with glut of apartments everywhere now, many investors are moving to AirBnB platform as well.

It is very likely even with successful completion of MPV, the profits will be retained and channel into buying another hotel or some other excuse to avoid a bumper dividend payout.
