The "debate" is crossing the grey line of the forum.

Firstly, this forum is mainly on value investing, more on fundamentals, and much less on price movement. Non-value-investing posts, are not disallowed, but discouraged.

Next, to get the info of seller isn't difficult most of the time, with a right tool/platform used.

Lastly, personal opinions are allowed, but no misrepresentation.

cfa, I reckon, we just need to post clarification, for any misrepresentation, if any. We should embrace diversity of opinions. Let's give a benefit of doubt, rather than speculating on the motive. Thank you

propertyinvestor, let's focus more on fundamental in your future posts. Thank you.

Let's cease fire on the topic, What do both of you think?

Many Thanks CF and sorry for all the '' mess ''.
What Puzzled me was Aberdeen has ceased to be a substantial SH ( Holding below 5% ) , Aberdeen does not need to declare its trades anymore and how to be sure the selling was from Aberdeen ?
This guy is a punter , so be it  , but why need to influence others ?

No problem, it happens from time to time, and the chore of moderator.  Big Grin

Do you think our VBs, are easily influenced? I have high confidence on them. Furthermore, you can cast a doubt on the info to reduce the "influence" without speculating on the motive, if necessary.

propertyinvestor, is with us for a while. Let's give him the benefit of doubt. I am confidence that he is just presenting an opinion, and your point is noted too.

Let's put our valuable time on the company topic, rather than focus on any individual, OK?  Big Grin

Hi Thaddy0103 ,
Many thanks . What I meant was Property Investor ( P .I )was claiming Aberdeen was selling when YL share price went down but no announcement was made by Aberdeen because its holding had fallen below 5% , thus no obligation for Aberdeen to declare . Logically if Aberdeen did not declare and P. I . claimed  Aberdeen was selling ,  he must have known something that retail investors like you and me dont know. I am tracking SGX announcement daily .
Now CF said with right tool/platform , not difficult to get info of sellers . What I want is to know which tool/platform to check so that it can help me to track who are selling/buying in my core holdings.

Well, I hope I wouldn't be the new target.  Big Grin

Once upon a time, I talked to a self-claimed and yet-to-verify "High-Freq trader". I reckon, it might be just a market-maker. With a right platform (likely paid), we can see live sell/buy queue in a certain depth. (this is not new to you, I assume). He had explained to me various way to peek into the queue, as simple as to get a small trade done to know the seller, and blah-blah. I have to put up a disclaimer, I didn't verify all the means nor the person, but I am sure we can get seller info, with your done trade. Now we know why so many 1 lots trade in the past, and 100 shares trade now?  Tongue

I don't intent to participate the "debate", since the seller, isn't important to me. What is more important to me, is the buyer. Investors sell for many reasons, but buy ONLY to gain, IMO.

Hi CF ,
I am rather bewildered with your statement " Well, I hope I wouldn't be the new target. " . Why were you being targeted ?
It is just a followup on which tool/platform that you mentioned that's all , if there is no such tool/platform , that is ok .  At least i know the non-existent of such tool/platform at all.
So propertyinvestor was either talking nonsense or maybe Aberdeen did leak such confidential info to him .

Hi CF, thank you for explaining to cfa here. I am familiar with the platform which the said person mention to you. What he explained to you is just the tip of the iceberg. This feature rich platform, which came from the US, is an industry standard and is mainly used by prop and professional traders. You are right to say that it doesnt come cheap and it operates on a licensing model.

And yes, these people are mainly responsible for all the 1lot transaction as such transactions are a by product of some of the platform features Smile
