Just came across this car ad by Renault in TODAY. Notice how it is worded to make people spend - "Look A Million Dollars". Emotional marketing at its best! To make you feel as if purchasing a $158,888 car will make you look like a millionaire. The photo also superimposes the car overlooking a cliff with a spectacular view, further reinforcing the notion of exclusivity, grandeur and luxury.
I used to study this in school, but this ad is really a prime example of how companies use psychological cues and wording to make people spend, spend and spend!
