(12-10-2016, 03:05 PM)Behappyalways, Thanks a lot for the information. Really appreciated! If A is kneeling to B, A will pass some 业障 to B. That is why kneeling is a no no for many monks. But Master Lu is willing to take the 业障 from his believers. I have been listening to many many Master Lu\s radio broadcast at his website. He is disclosing a lot of information about Buddhism, universe, hell, how to be a proper person, etc. This kind of information may not be available in Buddhism books or articles. He is also saving a lot of people and patients... If you have time, you should try to understand in depth by watching his video, listening to his broadcast. Or if you know 高僧 e.g. Tibetan monks and ask about Master Lu, some of them can 'see' who Master Lu is. This is mentioned a few times by people calling in the radio broadcast

If you want to learn more about Buddhism, learn from the proper channel. Richard Lu is a 附佛外道. Meaning he uses Buddhism for his own personal preaching. Just like Falun Gong. You are free to believe in Richard Lu if you like his 'teachings' but please do not consider his teachings Buddhism. See posting 118.
One example is you can often see 'students' kneeling down asking for his help. How many times do we kneel to our parents? That is why kneeling is a no no for many monks. It creates ego and sometimes people kneel to monks due to the robes(Buddha, Dharma and Sangha) they wear and not to the monk. Is Richard Lu wearing the robe? In most cases, when there is a teaching, you see a Buddha statute positioned in front of the monk giving the talk so when one kneel, he is kneeling to the Buddha and not the monk. Richard Lu.....is a different form of 'Buddhism' or whatsoever. Please do not post Richard Lu's 'teachings' in this folder. Thanks.
Can the moderator delete this posting and the above postings later. Thanks and sorry for the trouble caused.

hi behappyalways,
i have read post 118. There are 2 articles, the first one is about a bunch of believers (most probably ignorant) drowning some animals due to an ecological-physiological mismatch. The other article talks alittle bit of where the believers came from. It mentions Mr Lu and some controversy he had with some Malaysian buddhists. It has an allegation that is not exactly proven and stay where it is.
Objectively, i do not think post 118 proves much. But on the other hand, even though i am moderator, i do not have much expertise to discern Buddhism stuff. I would encourage open-ness and constructive debate as the basis to move on from here.

First video I watch, I found that Master Lu teaching is about doing good and so I'm keen to learn more.
A few more later, I found that his extra ordinary abilities un-believable (positive sense).
Then, I found that some of his teaching does not seems to be from Buddhism aka traditional Buddhism does not says/mentions/talk/teach about this.
It seems to be Taoism practices (as traditional Singapore chinese was under more Taoism influence than Buddhism).
Then, it become more obvious that Master Lu had created his own way of teaching.
He actually combine a few practices and morph into his own method.
Rather unique.
Then, I decided not to watch his video and refrain from *his* forum pages too.
I'm still learning and will continue to learn ... Behappyalways.

Hi Chialc, I think many locals practise mix of Taoism and Buddhism. Can you help share the portion you feel has forms of Taoism practises in Master Lu talks.

Guan Yin is very popular among Taoism also. You can see a lot of non-Buddhist praying Guan Yin
e.g. Chinese temples got Guan Yin statues
I suppose, since Master Lu is representing Guan Yin, so there should be no issues with a mix of Buddhism & Taoism?
If you are referring to Feng shui, people's name, etc.
These things are used to attract more people to believe in Buddhism, as Master Lu has mentioned many many times in his talks

Good morning Cory,
First of all, let me says a big thank you to you for your kind sharing.
I had learn and benefited from your teaching.
Gratitude.
As what Thai King Bhumibol says:
Quote:A good person can make another person good;
it means that goodness will elicit goodness in the society;
other persons will also be good.
As I had I stop reading shortly after CP introduction.
I had no intention to re-read or spend my time there.
My instinct told me that there are better ways to learn about Buddhism.
Thank you, once again for helping me.
