Ah, I was under the impression that they were expediting the construction so I thought it could be down to 2.5 years.

I just signed the Lease Agreement for my BTO last month and the project completion date in the contract is Aug 2015 but the HDB officer was saying that keys are usually over about a year earlier than that so I guess 3 years is just about right. It's good for me though- that'll give me some time to save up for the reno after the marriage next year. Luckily I have a understanding wife to be who doesn't mind living with the in-laws till the flat comes.

Ahaha, Koh-san, some things you just can't force. Better to take your time to find the right one than to end up with a lemon. I think affairs of the pocket can be mended a lot more easily than affairs of the heart. And affairs of the heart tend to have further reaching consequences...but that's in my humbly, limited experience of course.

101% agreed...dun interfere with young people heart affair...good / bad, they have to ride the long journey themselves...
Let spend the time to think how to preserve my capital dat is this more important then any things else....Market is very uncertain...choppy indeed.
