Personally, I prefer to use the term "Direct Selling" than MLM.

WB mentioned The Pampered Chef as a wonderful business in the past.

Has this business model reached its peak ?

"...Back in August, another large MLM, perfume and cosmetics giant Avon, also filed for bankruptcy.....

.....Tupperware, like many MLMs, was not suited to the digital changes we’ve seen in the last decade. At the same time, a new generation of “side hustles” have emerged and thrived - but importantly, online....."

Tupperware failure was not mainly its selling technique. It was because many OEM sprung up using the same product type- China "tupperware" equivalent

Another well known product that was named after the namesake is Corningware (now known as Corelle). The main company is now struggling because many imitations have sprung up.

Thats the advantage of China, they can produce similar products at lower cost base, sell it cheaper without marketting at Taobao.
