Sunmoon Food signs LOI with Giumarra to engage in distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables in Asia Pacific
Sunmoon Food Company said it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Rio Vista Ventures LLC, trading under the business name of Giumarra, to form two joint venture companies to engage in the sourcing, acquisition, sale and distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Under the LOI, one of the JV companies will have Giumarra as its majority shareholder and its sole business will be to source and acquire the products. The other JV company will have the company as its majority shareholder and its sole business shall be to distribute and sell the Products throughout Asia Pacific, including China, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Giumarra is one of the world's largest agricultural organisations. The company works with its international network of growers to ensure its wide variety of products is available to retailers throughout the year and guarantee the highest quality fruits and vegetables arrive on time at their destinations.
Through the two new JV companies, the Company will be able to leverage on Giumarra's extensive network in sourcing for fruits, while Giumarra will be able to tap on the Company’s distribution network in Asia Pacific.
