Mean cannot have decimal right entitlement right?

Example 14 share is entitle to 1.75 right so round down to 1 right. Am I right?

Can I check with you that if i did not opt in anytthing for the scrip dividend of $0.18, I will get cash instead of share right? thanks

Yes, the minimum trade-able rights is one (1), thus the fractional entitlement will be disregarded, or round down...

Base on past experience with OCBC, scrip dividend wasn't the default option. I assume it is the same now. Please check with the relevant announcement of the company.

Thank you for all the prompt responses. Very much appreciated.

I am a newbie investor so had never participated in Right Shares before. I always thought they will be handle in 1 whole lot like the common stocks.

Look like I will have more odds lots now though I still can't make up to 5 lot...

Guess I will need to call my CPF agent bank soon to sort out this dividend and Right Shares issue since I will not be in Singapore to received the mail.

1. Offer Information Statement wrt Rights will be sent out on 1 September.

2. Notices of Election and Scrip Dividend Entitlement Advice will be sent out starting 08 September. If you take scrip dividend, they do not count towards the rights entitlement.
