Frankly, I am more impressed by your programming skill than the data itself.

Hi Gzbel, +1 for you but I don't see the needs to compile them for few reasons:

1. if one would like to have a stock idea, then he/she should do his/her own study, read the forum and not choosing the short-cut way to follow the laojiaos
2. the lists are not accurate as many has pointed, so no point to confuse other members
3. I have no issue to disclose my position individually, but not everything at 1 look, I believe some other members would have the same concern as well?
4. this is indeed a tedious work, forget about accuracy, the maintenance effort itself would already kills your weekend time

Thanks by the way..

Interesting idea. Indeed too many mistakes and I suspect that the list is not a good representative.

Personally my name comes up 16x but 1 (AIMSAMP I REIT )have been divested and 1 (Jaya) was interesting flagged as vested even though I have never ever owe the stock.

I took a look at the post I made and it was all the more interesting when what I posted was 'Vested in Singpost'. I'm sure this is good feedback for gzbkel as he refined his algorithm to sieve out the correct data.

As for the consolidated list, I have no issue with that as its does not represent my complete portfolio. And frankly I dun understand why anyone else should have an issue with the consolidated list. After all, it was based on information that we declared. If you dun want people to know what you owe, then just dun say 'vested' like dydx. Just my opinion, no offence intended.

Generally I agree with most about the perceived usefulness of such a list. Just because everyone is vested does not makes it a good stock. But I can understand what gzbkel is trying to do; and I do admire his ingenuity to improve the processes.

Given the high quality member base, we currently have. The vice versa maybe true, it is possible stocks many vb member owns are good.

Also some members like me don't contribute much in posts where almost everything we know has been said. I am vested in yzj and penguin but given the quality of discussion, I find little things I can value add.As a result my vested interest in them is not revealed until now

I am glad to know you are a fellow shareholder for YZJ and Penguin now. Big Grin

Can you write an apps to filter,
1) SG governments has say/vested/warned, down to the each MPs/Ministars/PM..etc??
2) Big Names Investors - Jim Rogers... Oei HL...Sam...etc...

Good for long term tracking and seeing how VEST some Key Appointment Holders peoples are?

1) Try NOT to LOSE money!
2) Do NOT SELL in BEAR, BUY-BUY-BUY! invest in managements/companies that does the same!
3) CASH in hand is KING in BEAR!

Thanks for the feedback.
Good points about the accuracy problems. Although it is good enough for me, it may not be good enough for the general public.
I will try to improve on the accuracy before I consider publishing an updated. (Probably not anytime soon, since this is just a hobby project)

Also, I agree that many vesters does not mean a stock is a good purchase. It was never my intention to make buy/sell decisions based on the list. In fact, many vesters may mean that the stock has became well known, and all the good news has already been priced in.

Also, thanks for the compliments on the program!
Actually it is just simple web crawling and text analysis, nothing fancy Wink
brattzz, if you convince the government spokesman to end their press releases with words like "vested" or whatever, maybe we can try do some analysis. Tongue
