I thought Oei Hong Leong is always inside the list? I am more surprised about Chew Thiam Keng in the list. He's the CEO of Ezion Holdings.

Looks like many from Real Estates, including Hotels. Also, many from Old Money. No local version of Warren Buffett? Or Peter Lynch, Seth Klarman,.. How sad... Tongue

I consider Peter Lim a dealmaker rather than investor.....The closest Singapore version of Warren Buffett according to my personal view is Mr Oei......

Perhaps local market scale and investment landscape not as vibrant to groom a super investor.

Maybe sam goi in a few years time if his recent years' investment in food companies turn out well?

Just like HK lee shau kee earned his billions from real estate and subsequently earned more billions from investment and is dubbed as asia's god of stock investing..

This guy has a interesting story, seems to be the classic rags to riches story. Eduardo Saverin, hmm.. him on the list seems weird because it is a technicality (being a citizen) as opposed to making his money here.

Don't want to sound like I am stirring something but no Malays on the list? Anyone remotely close? 2nd Chance guy?
