Industry / Occupation Poll of Valuebuddies Members

Hi all fellow forumers,

I am kind of interested in the industry occupation held by our fellow members in valuebuddies. This may help us to know each other better and maybe even indirectly enhance the valuation of the website, haha.

I will start first. Do let me know if there are any major overlaps of industries.

The poll will be set private first. If there are majority requests to reveal and no objections received, I may consider opening the poll to public.

Might be interesting. But what about those like me who has been in a few/ or rather have somewhat overlapping areas? Will i be deemed schizo if i vote multiple times?

Hi MrEngineer,

I'm a little confused. The post subject says Occupation Poll but the options given are more industry-related. And it leaves out Accountancy and Accouting!

Maybe you can consider tweaking it a little?

Thanks MW for your suggestion. Cyclone is helping me to make e changes. Unfortunately, there are only 10 poll options maximum. So I think industry is better choice than occupation

So many views but only 5 votes! haha. We have 355 members and I believe we have about 30 to 35 core members.

I think you should just state your current industry that you worked in.

It's still confusing.

I voted Accounting because that's my profession, but my industry is real-estate.

Maybe can re-do the poll again?

I apologise for the confusion. To simplify, just state the industry you are working in.

Cyclone could you help to adjust the poll for MW to real-estate instead?

Anyone who have better suggestions of the categories pls let me know. Kind of tough to squeeze as much info into max 10 choices.

Banking / Corporate Finance / Consultancy/ Accounting

Financial Services (Insurance, Fund Management etc)

should these 2 be put together as financial services?
